(Rebar Processing)
Alam Steel Industries LLC (ASI) is a rebar processing factory that produces pre-cut and bend steel products. The facility is located in a 250,000 square foot property in the Dubai Investment Park (DIP) and has an annual capacity of 360,000 tons per annum.
ASI has 3 brand new lines using the latest Stema Pedax (Germany) machinery including a unique “pocket system” that reduces crane usage through the production line greatly improving productivity. Phase II of the company expansion which is slated for completion by the end of March 2009 will add one new large shearing line with additional bending and stirrup making capacity.
ASI supplies fabricated reinforcing steel bars in the range of 8 mm to 50 mm diameter in deformed high yield steel as well as Epoxy coated material, if required. ASI processes rebar off-site accurately in a purpose-built facility as per the specifications of the structural drawings and delivers rebar correctly labeled and ready for fixing at site.
ASI uses the latest rebar processing software as well as rebar specific detailing software that allows seamless transfer of data from the engineering department to the factory floor.
Senior Management of the firm has a combined experience of 50 years in the steel reinforcement industry. ASI is the first steel rebar processing factory in the Middle East to be awarded the CARES – UK certification in October 2007.
Macsteel Gulf FZCO

The group has also entered into a 50-50 JV with Macsteel to set up a steel service centre that will process plate and sections for the Petrochemical, Mining & Earthmoving, Shipbuilding, Construction, Manufacturing, and Fabrication industries. The factory will be based in the Jebel Ali Free Zone and is expected to begin operations by 2012. Although prevalent across Europe and the USA, this specialized manufacturing will be the first of its kind in the Middle East.
